Steven A. Jorstad
Most people know Steven A. Jorstad for his lively personality and pragmatic approach to helping his clients solve problems. Steve is well-known and highly respected amongst farmers in Rice and Goodhue counties. In many cases, Steve has represented multiple generations of farm families over the last 45 years.
Steve. graduated from Kenyon High School in 1964. Steve attended St. Olaf College where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education—History in 1968. He taught history in Waukegan, Illinois before deciding to return to Minnesota and attend law school. Steve graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1974.
After law school, Steve served as an assistant county attorney in Douglas County, Minnesota. In 1975, he returned to Wanamingo, Minnesota and founded his own law practice. Over the last 45 years of practicing law, Steve has focused in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate, Wills, Criminal, Tax, and Real Estate.
Steven A. Jorstad currently serves as Of Counsel to Jacobsen Law Firm, P.A. and meets with clients in the Northfield and Wanamingo offices by appointment.
Personal
Steve and his wife Ann reside in Northfield. They have two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, fly-fishing, acting in the local theater, and spending time with his family.
